Shaffee

Shaffee has been hosting radio shows on rock stations since 1999 and has been hosting afternoons on WGRD since May 21st, 2012.  He was the public address announcer for the NHL's Atlanta Thrashers for their final three seasons before the franchise moved to become the Winnipeg Jets.  Shaffee also worked in the professional wrestling industry for about a decade and appeared in several companies including TNA and Juggalo Championship Wrestling, most notably as the manager of former ECW World Heavyweight Champion, Sabu.  Shaffee was often referred to as "The Voice Of Violence". RADIO HISTORY 1998 - Graduated from the Specs Howard School of Media Arts 1998 - Interned for midday personality Tom Force at WOMC in Detroit. 1998 - Hired at WWCK in Flint as a board operator for Casey Kasem's top 40 show and weekend overnight host. 1999 - Left WWCK to work for WJXQ in Lansing.  Created "The Skankshift". 2002 - Fired from WJXQ.  Hired at WRIF in Detroit.  Hosted Saturday nights and the local music show "Motor City Riffs". 2005 - Fired from WRIF.  Hired at WRKR in Kalamazoo to host "The Shaffee Show" at night. 2007 - Left WRKR to host the morning show at WKLS in Atlanta, Georgia.  Was a part of three different morning shows in the span, "The Giant Show" with Brian Carothers, "Shaffee & El Jefe" and "Shaffee & Klinger". 2011 - Fired from WKLS. 2012 - Hired at WGRD to host afternoons. WRESTLING HISTORY 1999 - Made debut in Lansing, MI. 2000 - Won 2 PWF Championships and pinned Jimmy Jacobs in Lansing, MI.  Shaffee would love to offer Jacobs a shot a redemption, but Jacobs is busy in Ring Of Honor and Shaffee is currently retired. 2002 - Managed Sabu for the first time at the IMA Sports Arena in Flint in a match vs Devon Storm.  Would eventually lead Sabu to victory in over 100 matches. 2004 - Wrestled Kevin Sullivan to a bloody no-contest at the DeltaPlex Arena in Grand Rapids. 2004 - Managed Sabu to two victories at the Insane Clown Posse's Gathering Of The Juggalos outside of Cleveland, OH. 2007 - Lost to Traci Brooks in a dark match at TNA's Bound For Glory pay-per-view event. 2009 - Announced retirement for the first time after appearances in Pro Wrestling Federation, Pro Wrestling Entertainment, Michigan Championship Wrestling, All World Wrestling League, Border City Wrestling, Maximum Pro Wrestling, Independent Wrestling Revolution, Revolucha, Price Of Glory, TNA, Juggalo Championship Wrestling and others. Shaffee has been involved in matches including the likes of Abdullah The Butcher, Terry Funk, Sabu, Roadwarrior Hawk, Kevin Sullivan, Balls Mahoney, The Sandman, Ahmed Johnson, Simon Diamond, Johnny Swinger, Devon Storm, Jerry Lynn, Disco Inferno, Chris Sabin, Jimmy Jacobs, Insane Clown Posse, King Kong Bundy, Steve Wilkos, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Monty Brown, Shane Douglas and many others.
