Toronto Mayor Rob Ford pulled out the 'ole camera in the face trick while being mobbed by the Canadian media after a press conference. Classic play, Mr. Ford. For those of you who haven't seen this rarely used trick, the easiest way to dodge a question is to NOT dodge the camera in your face.
This morning Free Beer and Hot Wings talked with Whitney Hunter, an eyewitness to the Boston Marathon bombing. Hunter ran in the marathon and was a mere 200 yards from the finish line when the explosions went off. He shared his story with the guys on the show this morning.
Police Chief Mike Berkemeir of Laurelville, OH had a rude awakening on Easter Sunday. He mistakenly consumed some pot laced cake that was sitting on his kitchen counter. Shortly after eating the cake he became extremely sick from and was worried about what was happening to him. He decided to seek medical attention and drove to his police station a few blocks away. He commented later that he didn't even remember making the drive.
This story is rather old, but so is the saying "that's the pot calling the kettle black." On Memorial Day 2011, members of the Westboro Baptist Church protested a ceremony lead by President Obama to honor fallen soldiers at the Arlington National Cemetery. The protesters were met by a group of counter-protesters which included several members of the Klu Klux Klan.
A crazy story out of Southern California is taking the nation by storm. A man at a Home Depot was detained and transported to a hospital after attempting to saw off both of his arms. The man reportedly used drywall saws that he found on the shelf to amputate his own arms. A firefighter, who was shopping in the store, quickly realized what was happening and jumped into action.
The new official trailer was released for The Hangover Part III today. It all ends May 24th. Or at least that is what The Hangover's Facebook page says. But we all know that if this is a huge commercial success (as it probably will be) their might be a 4th installment somewhere down the line.
Update: Charles Mark Hoover has been found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in his Newaygo County home after killing his wife and son. Police are currently investigating what might have caused shootings.
There was a huge story out of Texas' Lone Star College yesterday. Dylan Quick, the stabber that attacked more than 10 people yesterday was eventually caught by a fellow student, Steven Maida. Maida posted a photo of the stabber on his instagram account and received a mix of comments ranging from praise to condemnation.
