Johnnie Walker

I've never been good at filling these things out, but here it goes. I like long walks in cold mountain air, preferably with snow on the ground. I enjoy drinking fine soda by the crackling fire, and deep tissue massage. I hope to one day grow up an become and astronaut, so I can fly to Venus to see if that's really where women come from. If it's true, I'll bring one back for you, too. Unless it's a dude you want, and then you're out of luck...sorry. My favorite month is October, because Halloween is the best holiday ever! It allows me to openly proclaim my love and obsession with scary movies without being seen as some sort of lunatic. Okay, not too much of a lunatic. I'm a huge fan of rock and metal music, and you'll often hear me blasting the control room speakers into oblivion every night during my show. My engineer doesn't like me very much, since he has to fix them. Sorry, Mike.

Dean Guitars Reveals Wayne Static Tribute Guitar [Video]

Before Wayne Static passed away last year, he was about to hit the road on another tour, and placed an order with Dean Guitars for some new gear. He'd asked for a couple new custom versions of his Dean Modifier ML for the trek.

Unfortunately, he never got to tour with these guitars.

WGRD Pond Hockey Classic — Day 2 Photos and Video

The second day of the GRD Pond Hockey Classic started off a bit warmer than Day 1, and much warmer than last year!

This was both good news and bad news for the event.

Good news: A lot of people came out and took advantage of the great weather to hang out and party with GRD for the day of hockey.

Bad news because, well, that much warmth isn't really the best thing for ice.

WGRD Pond Hockey Classic – Day 1 Photos and Video

The GRD Pond Hockey Classic kicked off last night at Richmond Park in Grand Rapids at about 5:45, with the opening ceremonies, hosted by Hot Wings, Producer Steve, and Producer Joe from the Free Beer and Hot Wings show. Some of our staff even sang the National Anthem to help kick off the weekend of hockey action!

The games got underway on the ice that looked amazing, and we blasted through five hours of pond hockey before anyone even noticed it!

Get Ready for This Weekend’s GRD Pond Hockey Classic with Video from Last Year

Last year's GRD Pond Hockey Classic was my first ever experience with Pond Hockey, since I come from Texas, and we don't exactly have enough cold weather to free over our bathtubs, let alone a whole pond!

I'm really excited for this year's Pond Hockey Classic, kicking off tonight at 5:45 at Richmond Hills Park. We have 4 rounds of hockey throughout the weekend, one tonight, two tomorrow, and the fourth on Sunday.

Pro-Shot Video of Alice in Chains Rocking the NFC Championship Game

This past weekend, the Seahawks staged an unbelievable comeback against the Packers, in a game that many Seattle fans thought was over early. Don't they feel stupid for leaving the game early?

But during the halftime break, one of Seattle's best bands rocked the crowd at the stadium with a couple songs, perched about 4 miles up above the stadium, seemingly.

New Russian Combat Robot is Insanely Terrifying! [Video]

This has to be the most terrifying soldier even put on the field. I'm not sure how other armies are going to survive or escape when this beast of a killing machine gets released onto the battlefield.

It's lightning quick reflexes, it's deadly aggression, it's horrifying appearance...this is the stuff of nightmares!

Linkin Park Cancels February 4 Grand Rapids Concert

Today sucks, now. Linkin Park has officially canceled its stop here in Grand Rapids on Feb. 4.

I repeat, the show at Van Andel Arena -- with Of Mice and Men and Rise Against -- has been canceled.

It was reported earlier today that Chester Bennington has suffered a leg injury, and had to cancel a couple shows while he saw doctors. However, it was just announced the rest of the tour through Feb. 14 has now been canceled as well!

I Totally Want Microsoft HoloLens – This Looks Amazing [Video]

Hi, my name is Johnnie, and I'm an Apple person. I'm not ashamed of it. I used to be all about PC, but then I got an iMac, and my world changed. I don't hate PCs, I use them every day, but my gear of choice is an iPhone and a Mac.

But Microsoft has a product that I HAVE TO HAVE!

Layne Staley Keeps Touring and Singing with a Broken Leg [Video]

Linkin Park's tour cancellation is not good news for Grand Rapids, since they've cancelled the rest of the tour through February 14th, and we won't get to see them here at the Van Andel. Their shows begin again in May.

But Chester injuring his leg, and forcing the cancellation of the shows reminded me of some shows I saw back in 1992, when Alice in Chains was opening for Ozzy on the No More Tours tour, and Layne was in a wheelchair!

I love Amazon. I get everything from them. But now it seems like Amazon Japan is bigger and better than the piddly little American Amazon, because in Japan they're selling Mech Suits!

Yes, my friends, you can live out your anime dreams and buy a mech suit that you can "ride" or drive around, called the Kuratas!
