All That Remains Singer Says Escape The Fate Get “Preferential Treatment”
All That Remains vocalist Phil Labonte doesn't seem too happy with Escape The Fate, at least not with the push that ETF have been getting. Labonte goes so far as to say that Escape The Fate receive preferential treatment over his band.
As reported by BLABBERMOUTH, an All That Remains fan asked the band on Facebook if they would be on the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar festival along with rumored addition Escape The Fate. Labonte didn't exactly answer the question but went on a tangent about the disparity in each group's success.
"I have NO idea what the deal is with Escape The Fate but they must have WICKED powerful management," Labonte wrote. "We've sold probably five times the records they have, been around probably 10 years longer than they have, have four more records than they do, we have three songs that have charted in the Top 20 at radio, two of which have made the Top 10, they have none, and they STILL get preferential treatment over us."
The singer continued: "I don't know what they sound like, I've never met them, but it sucks when a band [with] powerful management tries to use another band that has busted their ass for over 10 years as a footstool. Not cool."
According to BLABBERMOUTH, All That Remains last album, For We Are Many, has sold 125,000 copies in the U.S. since its release last October. By contrast, Escape The Fate's self-titled album has sold a little over 50,000 copies since it debuted last November.
