AC/DC vocalist Brian Johnson is forced to cancel his solo tour after receiving news that he has to go under the knife. Johnson apparently suffered a wrist injury that needs to be operated on.

BLABBERMOUTH reports (via NME) that the frontman scrapped his 10-date U.S. solo tour, which was scheduled to launch this February. Cities affected include Atlanta, Knoxville and Indianapolis. The shows would have featured music and stories from Johnson's recently released autobiography, Rockers and Rollers: A Full-Throttle Memoir.

AC/DC are currently taking it easy after their two-year Black Ice World Tour concluded in 2010. However, the band has given signs of releasing a new album and hitting the road again in 2013 to celebrate their 40th anniversary. Just don't expect AC/DC to repeat the same schedule.

"That [Black Ice World Tour] was brutal but I'd sure hate to say that's the end of it," Johnson said. "I think you need a full stop at the end of everything, a sentence, your life, or your car. There has to be a full stop and I don't think we've had one yet."
