Heavy metal band Accept have just announced the release of its 14th studio album, 'Blind Rage.' The album has been given an Aug. 15 street date, giving fans plenty of time to experience Accept's newest work before it invades the U.S. in September for a handful of gigs.

After helping to pioneer thrash and speed metal in the '80s, Accept only recently made a serious comeback following a tumultuous period with multiple hiatuses. Once the band recruited vocalist Mark Tornillo in 2009, critics and fans were quick to praise Accept after the band released 'Blood of the Nations' in 2010 and 'Stalingrad' in 2012.

Due to Accept's sterling comeback, fans have become increasingly excited for new material, and they'll be foaming at the mouth for the release of 'Blind Rage.'

"Whatever we do on record, it's there for eternity," says Accept guitarist Wolf Hoffmann. "If you do something great it's not something people throw away tomorrow. Songs we wrote 30 years ago are still loved by fans today. That teaches you to be careful with what you release and make sure you like it yourself. With 'Blind Rage,' we have a collection of songs with the classic Accept feel, and -- as always -- there's an overriding theme of aggression and rage in our music. Otherwise, it wouldn't be metal."
