14-year-old Kalamazoo shooting victim Abigail Kopf is now walking.

The family-approved GoFundMe page provided an update this morning, it said:

There's no keeping this girl down!! Abbie continues to make unbelievable improvement. She is able to walk with some assistance now and at one point even stroked a nurse's ponytail. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the prayers, thoughts, and support!

Abigail's father also added:

She smiled and stuck her tongue out at the doctor today. She still has a sense of humor and playfulness.

On Thursday, February 25, the Kopf family issued a statement saying that Abigail had given a thumbs up and wiggled her toes.

On Sunday, February 28, this update appeared on the GoFundMe page:

Our hearts are full of joy right now as we celebrate a milestone for Abbie. The tube is out she's breathing on her own. And she wiped her own face with a towel! Bless you all and we have so much gratitude for your support.

On Monday morning, February 29, Abigail's condition was upgraded from critical to serious.

On Tuesday morning, March 1, an update on the GoFundMe page announced that Abigail's condition had been upgraded from serious to fair:

Our girl is fighting...and winning! HER CONDITION HAS BEEN UPGRADED FROM SERIOUS TO FAIR!! Please continue to hold this amazing girl through her climb and help us bring her home.

On Wednesday, March 2, the family said:

She looked at us tonight. Her right eye is too swollen yet, but she managed to open her eyes and recognized us.

The GoFundMe page has raised over $45,000 in nine days.
