A North Carolina High School Senior Insisted On Taking His Mother As His Prom Date

Like many other high-schoolers, Charlotte, North Carolina high school senior Rayquan Howard went to his prom on Saturday.  But instead of Rayquan taking his girlfriend or that special someone, he insisted on bringing his mom Shontelle as his date.  It turns out that Shontelle didn't get to go to her prom when she was in high school because she was pregnant at the time.  And she's always told her sons they had to go to theirs.

When Rayquan asked her to be his date, she actually said no because she wanted him to go with someone his own age.  But he threatened to skip it if she didn't come, so then she had to go.  But she seemed pretty thrilled about it on prom night!

Rayquan told the local news that he'd been planning to ask his mother for a while and making sure that she finally got to go to prom was really important to him.

Call me crazy and judgy but something about this isn't right. You be the judge and the jury.
