97.9 WGRD Presents 2015 Heavyweights at The Intersection

It's back and ready for metal! Last year, local metal group Withhold the Blood was crowned the 2014 GRD Heavyweight champ!

However, it's a new year and we need a new champion for 2015.

It's time to welcome in the GRD Heavyweights once again at The Intersection!

You wanted metal and you've got it! 97.9 WGRD, Moshpit Nation, and The Intersection are proud to present the 2015 Heavyweights!

More than 10 local metal bands will take the stage at The Stache and battle out for your vote to move onto the finals. Whichever band makes it to the finals has a chance to be crowned 2015 Heavyweight Champion!

This year, we have a big roster of bands who have performed previously and a bunch of new bands I am excited to see!

Of course, since GRD is hosting a metal battle of the bands competition, who do you think could host a metal competition? Metalhead Ned!

Watch for him barking something into the mic on stage before each band!
