30 Pound Turkey Smashes Through The Windshield Of Family’s Car

On Tuesday morning, the Tarabocchia family of New Jersey was on their way to the airport after a visit to Indiana, when all of a sudden, a 30 pound turkey flew through the windshield of their car! 

Luckily, the family was safe but the turkey was a bit worse for wear and died on impact.  The sheriff's department said that it’s mating season for turkeys and that it has led to an increase in the local turkey population.

John Tarabocchia said that he saw the turkey in the road and that the bird spread its wings and then BAM!  Right into the windshield.  John also said that divine intervention helped him pull the car off the road after the accident.

But obviously, divine intervention did nothing to help the turkey from becoming an early Thanksgiving's day feast!
