Meijer announced plans Wednesday, March 2 to open nine new supercenters and remodel 32 stores. Of  the 32 locations getting upgraded, 20 are in Michigan.

According to a release, Meijer is investing $400 million in the project that is expected to create nearly 3,000 jobs across six states.

Two of the new supercenters coming in 2016 will be in Michigan: Sturgis and Flatrock.

No word yet on when the renovations will be complete.
