A 15-year-old who was arrested Sunday in the death of 16-year-old Michael White in Lions Park in Wyoming has been charged as an adult in the case.

Carlos Santiago Delgado, 15, was arraigned in Wyoming District Court Wednesday morning on the charge of open murder. The teen's bond was denied.

WZZM-13 reports that the boy admitted to police that he stabbed and beat White. Court records show that bloody clothing was discovered at his home.

Delgado was arrested hours after White's body was found in a Wyoming park by a man who was out walking his dog.

Delgado was transferred from a juvenile facility to the Kent County Jail after Kent County Assistant Prosecutor Vicki Siedl asserted that she felt he would be a threat in the juvenile facility.

According to WZZM, Delgado has a history of violence - in 2013, he was made a temporary ward of the court after sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl.

A second 15-year-old has also been arrested in connection with the case. That teen is currently in the Kent County juvenile detention facility on a charge of open murder. It has not yet been decided if that teen will be tried as a juvenile or an adult.
