It's not a permanent solution, but hey, maybe shaving off a little pavement will work?

In the the hope of cutting down on the hits, Fox 17 reports that the Michigan Department of Transportation is going to skim off some pavement until the bridge can be permanently replaced, with more clearance, which is supposed to happen in 2020.

MDOT is closing the 100th Street Bridge and part of U.S. 131 this weekend in Byron Township.

U.S. 131 will close Friday September 28th at 9p.m. Traffic will then be routed around the work, via the exit and entrance ramps.

100th Street will be closed over US-131 between Division Avenue and Clyde Park Avenue. Drivers should use 84th Street instead.

Work is expected to be completed by 5a.m. Monday.

Wonder if the 100th Street Bridge Facebook Page has any thoughts on this?
