Someone just lost out on $1 million dollars...

If you bought Mega Millions lottery ticket at CVS on 28th Street and Eastern Avenue a year ago and forgot to check your ticket... oh man, you might just want to stop reading, because it's too late!

According to Fox 17  a million dollar winner was sold at the Grand Rapids' CVS Pharmacy on Aug. 5,  2014. The ticket holder had until 4:45 p.m. today (Aug. 5, 2015) to claim their winnings.

Mega Millions tickets are only valid for one year from the drawing date, so now the unclaimed money will go to the state School Aid Fund, which helps fund school districts, higher education, and school employee's retirement systems.

What was that winning number? The ticket matched the first five numbers drawn Aug. 5, 2014:  25-28-36-45-53

Dude, I don't even know what to tell you to do if you realize you have this ticket. Cry? A lot?

Just in case, here's the Michigan Lottery Public Relations Division number that was given out when the ticket could still be claimed: (517) 323-1737.

Fox 17 reports that is the first major prize to go unclaimed in 2015. Last year, five major prizes went unclaimed, totaling over $1 million.
